Pastoral Care & Deacon Ministry

In order to more effectively serve First Baptist Church, our deacons are using a Deacon Team Ministry approach.  Our deacons will serve on the following teams to meet the needs of our church family - Hospital care team:  This team will provide care during your hospital stay and follow-up for your recovery at home.

Grief Care Team:

This team will provide care during a grief situation and the year following the loss of a loved one.

Guests Services Team:

This team will provide outreach to guests as well as overseeing our ministry to newcomers.

Helps Team:

This team will help church members with various needs as well as helping with odd jobs around the church.

New Member Support Team:

This team will work with our new members to ensure that they are learning about their new home and getting plugged into the church family.

Home Care Team:

This team will have an ongoing ministry to members that are unable to attend church on a regular basis.
    

Hospital Visitation

Please notify the church office with the scheduled times for your surgery or procedure.  Be sure to provide us with the name of the hospital, the time you are to report to the hospital and the time of surgery.  In case of an emergency, call the church office or a minister at home if on the weekend or after hours.  We have different members of our staff on call for the hospital on different days of the week.

Weddings

To schedule a wedding, please contact the church office as much in advance as possible.  Our church calendar can fill quickly certain times of the year.  Our office staff will be happy to provide you with a wedding handbook to answer all your questions about fees, schedules and policies.

Funerals

Our ministers are here to
assist you in your time of
need.  Whenever we hear
about a death, we make it
our goal to contact you as
soon as possible.  Our
pastor or others on the
ministerial staff will meet
with you to help you
with funeral planning.
