Other FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

When I arrive, where should I go?

The front of the church faces East Liberty Street, but our guest parking is located on Harvin Street.

Turn into the parking lot off Harvin Street marked Parking A. There you will find guest parking spaces.

Enter the building through the covered area that says, "Welcome," and inside the building you will find

people ready to assist you.

How can I get to know people in such a large church?

First Baptist Church is really made up of smaller groups where you will get to build wonderful, lasting

relationships. Our Sunday Morning Bible Studies are a great place to start making new friends. There

are places for every age group each Sunday at 9:45 A.M.

What do you have for my children?

We are blessed with many children at First Baptist and have wonderful programs and activities that make

a difference in today's children. Childcare is provided for all our church services. Check out our web pages

for children's activities - click here>>

What Should I Wear?

When you enter the doors of our church, you will find people dressed in everything from casual clothes

to dresses and suits. Come as you are...we are more interested in who you are rather than what you wear!

What style of music do you have?

The phrase most people use to describe music used in our worship service is "blended." You will experience

great hymns as well as modern praise and worship music. The overall feel of our Sunday morning worship

celebration is encouraging and high energy. You will enjoy the sounds of a full choir as well as solos, duets,

ensembles and a small orchestra. The messages are relevant and applicable to everyday living. Our pastor

speaks in terms that are easy to understand. What you learn on Sundays will be useful for your Mondays!
